To celebrate the 30th anniversary of "Forest Enter Exit" Deine Lakaien are releasing a new edition of their classic album, including the EP "Mindmachine". The album is available as a black and a strictly limited silver double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, as well as a double CD in a digisleeve.
The theme of the album has lost none of its topicality. "Forest Enter Exit" is about dreams and reality. Dream and reality are images that arise in the mind and are shaped by the character of the individual. Escape attempts such as drugs, mind machines and cyber worlds will not change anything, on the contrary, they will only accelerate loneliness.
The nine songs on "Forest Enter Exit" lead through the most diverse corners of sublime dreams and human imagination. Excursions into virtual realities end in the sober gray of everyday life, only to be carried off from there straight away into the dazzling worlds of bygone times. A very personal audio trip between illusion and reality.
In accordance with the thematic variety, "Forest Enter Exit" combines a wide variety of music genres in typical Lakaien style. "Forest Enter Exit" is further proof of the band's musical individuality.

Revival of a concert form that can be considered a unique selling point of Deine Lakaien.
With the exception of two performances in 2001, Deine Lakaien has not been heard acoustically between 1995 and 2010. The decision to once again give concerts as a duo with a prepared grand piano proved to be an excellent decision, because in contrast to the general complaints about a more and more unfocused audience at pop concerts, there was spellbound silence during the shows which ended up in an excited crowd. This CD documents performances between 2010 and 2012, the selection of songs is limited to songs that were written after 1995 and were therefore not included on the previous album

If there hadn't been this ad in 1984, Ernst Horn and Alexander Veljanov probably wouldn't have met. And if the decisive adjective for their music hadn't existed, they would have parted ways long ago. DEINE LAKAIEN have released nine studio albums in the band's two-and-a-half-decade history, and in the process have accomplished the feat of making music just for the sake of the music. DEINE LAKAIEN may have been absorbed by one scene or another, but at their core they were always one thing: individual and fearlessly experimental. Their tenth album Crystal Palace was released in 2014.

The 2005 album "April Skies" is now available for the first time as a double vinyl edition — one strictly limited marbled orange and one in classic black vinyl.

„April Skies“ includes Deine Lakaien evergreens such as „Over and Done“, „Slowly Comes My Night“, „Vivre“ and „Heart Made To Be Mine“. The 2LP set also includes five bonus tracks from this period by Veljanov and Horn: single B-sides, remixes and different versions.

With their new full-length "Dual +", DEINE LAKAIEN continue to ride the impressive creative wave that their compelling concept for the previous double-album "Dual" has caused. Yet while "Dual" was strictly following a principle of cause and effect that juxtaposed one cover version on the first album with a new song that was inspired by it on the second record. "Dual +" keeps the basic formula, but comes across as more compact, multi-layered, and experimental, while also leaving more space for relaxed divergence.

DEINE LAKAIEN are an iconic German dark music act. The legendary electronic avant-garde duo has managed the rare feat of being accepted as serious artists as well as proving to be immensely popular over more than three and a half decades.

With their 11th studio album, "Dual +", classically-educated composer and pianist Ernst Horn and vocalist extraordinaire Alexander Veljanov are further exploring the musical vector that the duo has taken on "Dual" by playfully adapting some of their musical influences and making them their own, but always serious about the composition and respectful towards the original. By ostensibly showing the connection to their own creations and making a part of their artistic process transparent, DEINE LAKAIEN also state that music does not grow out of thin air – as clearly as Beethoven could not have created his symphonies without the works of Bach before him.

DEINE LAKAIEN keep breaking new musical ground as they have already achieved multiple times in their long career. Founded in 1985, the German duo started as a purely electronic avant-garde dark wave project. Taking their name from a reference in the song 'Die genaue Zeit' by German experimentalists Einstürzende Neubauten, the band self-released "Deine Lakaien" in 1986, which spread by word of mouth and created an underground buzz. The debut set the duo clearly apart from electronic contemporaries such as YAZOO, SOFT CELL, EURYTHMICS, and OMD by virtue of their singular dark sound.

With official label backing, the albums "Dark Star" (1991) and "Forest Enter Exit" (1993) considerably widened the Germans' audience and gained the attention of influential critics. Simultaneous with their growing success, DEINE LAKAIEN broadened their musical scope by playing a fully acoustic tour in 1992, an ambitious exercise that would influence later albums such as "Kasmodiah" (1999). Their impressive and highly diverse catalogue has been summarised in the anniversary releases “XXX. The 30 Years Retrospective" (2016) and "The 30 Years Retrospective: Live" (2018).

DEINE LAKAIEN have created yet another marvellous piece of music with "Dual +". Their art comes with multiple layers and can be read in many different ways or simply be enjoyed as one amazing song after the other unfolds and the dividing lines between cover versions and original songs begin to blur until they are without meaning to the true beauty revealed.

DEINE LAKAIEN are a German cultural icon. With their 10th studio full-length, "Dual", classically-educated composer and pianist Ernst Horn and vocalist extraordinaire Alexander Veljanov present a conceptual double album, which connects both full-lengths by a double reference.
Half of the double album consists of 10 new songs that DEINE LAKAIEN have crafted with particular artists or songs in mind that have been important for the duo's musical evolution. These sources of inspiration are made clear on the second album of "Dual", which features 10 amazing cover tracks that range from Cat Stevens' classic 'Lady D’Arbanville' via Jacques Brels melancholic 'La chanson des vieux amants' to Kate Bush's 'Suspended in Gaffa' and the surprising choice of the Linkin Park song 'My December'. Each of these renditions has been lovingly translated into the Germans' unmistakable soundscape. In this artistic juxtaposition of a cover version and related new song, the Patti Smith/Bruce Springsteen collaboration 'Because the Night' corresponds with the Horn/Veljanov composition 'Because of Because'. DEINE LAKAIEN lay bare some of the sources of their inspiration and artists that have touched, inspired, thrilled, and shaped them in a most respectful way.
